How Does It Work?
Polartec® Power Shield O2® fabrics feature a smooth, tightly woven face for abrasion resistance without the stiffness and noise of a traditional hard shell. A polyester velour back traps air and provides a high warmth-to-weight ratio. The wind-blocking perforated membrane allows for 2x greater moisture transmission than other waterproof, breathable shells, which reduces the risk of heat stress buildup. Garments made from Polartec® Power Shield O2® fabric are ideal for cold-weather adventures such as skiing, snowboarding, winter climbing, and back-country trekking.
