Born in France over 20 years ago, it specializes in selling direct to consumer enabling EKOI to invest in quality, cutting edge fabrics for its cycling apparel. One of those cutting-edge fabrics is Polartec® Alpha®. The Polartec Jacket is the latest addition to EKOI’s line up. [Polartec® Alpha®](https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/insulation/alpha-direct) was originally engineered for the US Special Forces and the stop start conditions of combat. This premise makes Alpha an excellent fabric for cycle clothing where the rider experiences a wide variety of terrain with cool downhills and warm uphill slogs. The secret is in the weave. Fibers are woven to a mesh core keeping them stable and enabling efficient air exchange resulting in breathability and warmth regulation. The result is sustained comfort without the need to constantly shed layers. EKOI has used a waterproof outer making this jacket great at protecting the rider from water and wind.
