The Rebel fleece for men and women and the DNA Block fleece for men both use Polartec fabrics made from 100% recycled PCR content. In 1981 Polartec forever changed the way the world dresses for cold weather with the invention of polar synthetic fleece. In 1999, Jack Wolfskin launched its Polartec® Recycling Collection which was one of the first ranges to use recycled content. The range is still strong today. The NEW Rebel fleece – an overhead styled jacket for men and women – and the DNA Block fleece for men - a zip through jacket – are both made from [Polartec® 100 Series fleece](https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/insulation/fleece-series). This fabric is also bluesign accredited, meaning that each stage of the textile’s path has been analysed for environmental impact and passed with flying colours. The painstaking process looks at the manufacturing process to the factory floor and finally to the finished product. Polartec 100 Series fleece is warm, durable, lightweight and breathable and remains the industry standard for outerwear performance. To date Polartec has recycled more than 1.8 billion plastic bottles, turning them into high quality, long-lasting, technical fabrics such as those used by Jack Wolfskin.
