Volcom was born out of a love for the outdoors and the life it inspires. From a 1991 backdrop of the Gulf War, a recession and LA riots, two American snowsports enthusiasts embarked upon what can only be described as an epic and ultimately life-changing snowboarding trip. Thirty years on and Volcom is a flourishing international clothing brand with solid eco-ethics at its core. And Polartec, as one of the leading producers of sustainable fabrics (who happens to be 30 years old this year too), is proud to be featured in their latest head-turning range of clothing available exclusively at VolcomJapan. Volcom’s journey to a new, more sustainable future began more than 12 years ago. Its focus revolves around an ongoing effort to turn sustainability commitments into actions. One of those commitments is better fiber sourcing, hence the deployment of Polartec’s recycled fabrics. VolcomJapan’s range is built for style and uncompromising comfort. But most of all, it’s built to last. Think snowboard-inspired, eco-streetwear. The JP Power Fill Jacket for example uses Polartec Power Fill – a [synthetic insulation made from 100 percent recycled content](https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/insulation/power-fill). Team with the Power Fill Cap for the ultimate heat boost this winter. To date, Polartec has recycled well over 1.8 billion plastic bottles, saving them from landfill and helping customers, like VolcomJapan, turn them into attractive, high quality apparel that will last.
