Main Story. 12. 09.
Portal provides tools for modern explorers to live life with movement. Born from a need for products that facilitate your lifestyle, the London-based brand continues to refine and enhance what purposeful outdoor apparel looks and feels like. Now, with the new Level Alpha Jacket and Loam Fleece Jacket, both of which are engineered with advanced Polartec® fabric technologies, Portal underscores its keen ability to design versatile outerwear that adapts to movement, temperature shifts, and the rhythm of everyday exploration. From the Polartec® 200 Series Fleece with Shed Less technology in the Loam Fleece Jacket to the Polartec® Alpha™ active insulation featured in the Level Alpha Jacket, each piece is made to perform across commutes, trail days, cold-weather escapes and all the unexpected transitions in between.
Soft, breathable, and inherently functional, the Loam Fleece Jacket is crafted from recycled Polartec® 200 Series Fleece, the world’s original and most iconic fleece reinvented with lower-impact materials. And because it now incorporates Polartec® Shed Less technology, the one-of-a-kind fleece sheds up to 85% fewer microfibers during home laundering*, extending durability while reducing its impact on the planet. Ergonomic paneling supports natural movement, while a two-way zipper, cinchable hem, and binding-finished cuffs enhance comfort during cool-weather activity. Weighing 480 g in size M, it’s substantial yet breathable, ideal as a mid-layer or standalone jacket through shifting seasons.
Looking for lightweight warmth that responds to your activity level? The Level Alpha Jacket pairs a wind-resistant recycled nylon shell with recycled Polartec® Alpha™ active insulation to deliver dynamic thermoregulation, breathability and efficient moisture release. This means you can stay warm and comfortable in stop-start conditions and during high-output movement. Portal’s design team has amplified this performance with a cropped silhouette for mobility, underarm ventilation, root shoulder construction, silicone-dipped trims for grip, thumb loops for cold days, and an adjustable halo hood that rolls neatly into a stand collar. At just 330 g (size M), this jacket offers lightweight protection with recycled materials inside and out.
Both jackets reflect a shared belief that better gear should help people move freely and responsibly. Recycled materials, breathable performance, and intentional detailing deliver on that promise.
The bottom line? Both the Loam Fleece Jacket and Level Alpha Jacket work steadily without any extra hype, freeing you to focus on the experience rather than the gear.
*According to AATCC 212 2021, up to 85% less fiber fragments are shed on average during home laundering, when compared to the baseline fabric.
