Don't worry about a thing; DYNAFIT's new jacket has got you covered

DYNAFIT’s Transalper Hybrid Polartec® Alpha® jacket, as its name suggests, uses Polartec Alpha. An active insulation technology, Alpha was developed for the US special forces to cope with extreme variations in temperature and the start-stop conditions of combat. Its ability to regulate comfort in changing conditions makes it perfect for use in dynamic sports too and consequently Alpha is a huge hit with outdoor enthusiasts.

The Transalper Hybrid Polartec Alpha jacket is your reliable companion on alpine terrain: it really has got you covered. It's extremely breathable, lightweight (225g) and packable: it can be rolled up and stowed in its own side pocket. Made for summer mountain use, the Polartec Alpha technology continuously releases excess body heat before it builds to cause saturation and discomfort. The lofted fibers are connected to a solid mesh core – keeping them stable and preventing them from migrating through the lightweight, water resistant fabric outer. The fibers are inherently hydrophobic too meaning they're resistant to moisture and dry incredibly fast. In a nutshell you can wear this jacket and you'll have little need to shed layers because Alpha works so hard to keep you comfortable. The Transalper Hybrid Polartec Alpha jacket uses a recycled version of Alpha which repurposes PET. To date, Polartec has saved over 1.8 billion plastic bottles from landfills through recycling.

Sibylle Egele, DYNAFIT Product Director Softgoods says, "After the launch of our successful speed ski mountaineering Mezzalama Polartec Alpha range in 2015, we were convinced of the lightweight warmth and breathability of the Polartec Alpha Insulation. We decided to develop a lighter version for summer mountaineering, the Transalper Polartec Alpha Jacket. For coming winter season, we plan to launch a free touring version with Alpha Direct."
