We’re the pioneers of fleece. We know how to make insulated fabrics that keep you comfortable and warm in any condition.
Main Story. 11. 23.
The Millet-sponsored mountaineers - Éric Escoffier and Christophe Profit - set themselves a challenge: a winter ramble, solo peak bagging the three north faces (Eiger, Cervin, Jorasses). Lightweight, efficient gear was needed and so Millet’s Trilogy series was born. A collection that delivers high performance, streamlined product. A collection that includes lightweight and energy efficient clothing. Enter Millet’s Trilogy Lightgrid Hoodie, the latest addition to this series.
The secret to its performance is the Polartec® Power Grid™ High Efficiency fabric that it uses. Polartec has designed Power Grid to keep you dry even when you sweat. Its knitted, patented grid construction increases warmth and breathability, while also reducing fabric mass. These geometric patterns improve compressibility too, as well as enhancing the wicking process. Through targeted touch points, the bicomponent knit structure is an efficient moisture manager. The next-to-skin surface is hydrophilic, absorbing sweat vapour and transferring it to the outside. The outer surface disperses moisture for more efficient evaporation. Finally, additional warmth is delivered via the grid design which creates channels, trapping air and therefore keeping the wearer comfortable.
A scaled back design complements the lightweight nature of the technology. Minimalist the Lightgrid Hoodie maybe but lacking in features it is not: a quick access chest pocket, raglan sleeves and elastic binding construction to the hem, wrists and around the hood come as standard. What’s more, a Polygiene® anti-odour technology has been added to keep the wearer smelling fresh.
If you’re mountaineering this autumn, Millet’s Trilogy Lightgrid Hoodie is certainly worth a look.
