Santini Cycling Wear has designed a new range of clothing for the Gravel Cyclist. Using Polartec® Delta™ technology, riders will be kept cool this summer through the fabric’s clever bi-component knit construction.
First off this fabric uses a 100% recycled version of Delta™ fabric. Polartec has been using recycled content in its fabrics for over 25 years and in that time has recycled over 1.8 billion PET plastic bottles, saving them from landfill.
The Gravel Delta – Men’s Tech T-Shirt and Gravel Delta – Women’s Tech T-Shirt have been designed for gravel bike rides but are also relevant for a host of other outdoor adventures, making them extremely versatile. The fabric itself features excellent thermoregulating properties and harnesses the cooling properties of sweat but without the annoying cling. The specialized knit construction uses hydrophobic and hydrophilic yarns for more advanced control of moisture dispersal. The hydrophilic (water-loving) yarns sit close to the skin and wick sweat away. This is passed to the elevated touch-points which comprise hydrophobic (water-hating) yarns that hold onto the moisture just that little bit longer, so, harnessing the body’s own cooling process. The elevated construction also enhances airflow keeping the rider cool and aiding the evaporation process. The result? No cling just a cool and comfortable riding experience.
