The design attributes of these simple-looking t-shirts is more than meets the eye. The technical Polartec® Delta™ fabric – [known as the cooling fabric](https://www.polartec.com/fabrics/base/delta) – and thought-through design details together deliver top-end mountain biking performance. How can a fabric deliver enhanced performance? Polartec® Delta™ has been engineered to work under extreme conditions and excels when it’s being pushed to the max. Hot conditions and high exertion bring out the best in Polartec Delta. This specialized bi-component knit construction uses both hydrophobic and hydrophilic yarns for more advanced control of moisture dispersal. These hydrophilic yarns sit close to the skin, wicking the sweat to the external, hydrophobic yarns which hold onto sweat just that little bit longer, so, harnessing the body’s own cooling process. These patent-pending radiating knit structures keep the rider cooler in hot conditions by increasing airflow to dissipate heat. There is no uncomfortable cling, just a cooling effect leaving the rider to concentrate on their ride. Design-wise, the Trail Tuned men’s shirt and women’s Contessa feature ride-optimized sleeves and have been cut to emulate the riding position for better performance on the bike.
