Gobik solves the problem of cycling in cold, windy, winter weather

Spanish cycling brand, Gobik, is well-prepared for this year’s wet, windy, cold winter with its Black Series launched on the 17^th December, 2021. The Black Series is the latest addition to Gobik’s COLD SERIES 21-22 which came to market this September 2021. The new Black Series has been designed for cyclists that want to push their boundaries whatever the weather. The pieces in this collection protect from wind, rain and cold using technical, state-of-the-art fabrics which include Polartec® NeoShell® and Polartec® Alpha®.

Through their partnership with Polartec, premium provider of innovative and sustainable textile solutions, Gobik has created the Armour Thermal Jacket and the Envy Water Jacket. Both use NeoShell, the world’s most breathable, waterproof fabric. NeoShell delivers unprecedented breathability through the harshest of weathers so that cyclists can stay comfortable whatever Mother Nature throws at them. Polartec NeoShell provides the rider with the right balance of waterproof protection, breathability and comfortable stretch. The result is a jacket that offers the strength and durability of a weather protective fabric with the added advantage of dynamic air exchange capabilities for excellent breathability and the stretch of a softshell for a comfortable, full range of motion.

The Armour Thermal Jacket is a double-layer winter jacket designed for low temperatures. The outer uses Polartec NeoShell for breathable, waterproof protection whilst the lining uses Polartec Alpha. Polartec Alpha was designed for the US Special Forces and the stop start nature of combat. The elevated fibres are woven to a solid mesh core enabling excellent breathability and reliable thermal insulation. With a temperature range of -5°C - 10°C , together the technologies work in sync to keep the rider warm, dry and comfortable during the coldest and most challenging of rides.

The Envy Water Jacket comes in two versions: short sleeve and long sleeve. It’s modelled on the race jersey and has been made almost entirely from Polartec NeoShell. With a temperature range of 5°C - 15°C , it’s a a great piece for wet and windy rides in slightly milder temperatures.
